Summer Drama Program
This summer Theatre Prospero is bringing its unique drama camp to Revelstoke. The five-day program will culminate in a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream where participants will perform with professional actors for the whole community.
Theatre Prospero is a professional theatre company based in Edmonton producing outstanding classical theatre since 1996.
Auditions for Speaking Parts:
3:30pm, Friday, June 7th Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre
Program Details
Dates: 9am - 3pm, Monday July 15 - Friday July 19
Final Performance: 7:00pm, Friday July 19
Junior Program: Ages 6-12 Senior Program: Ages 13-18
Program cost: $130 Scholarships Available
Location: Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre & Revelstoke Secondary School Drama Studio
Summer Drama Day Camp
Drama Workshops
Improvisation, physical theatre, dance, stage combat, voice, music, theatrical design and more.
Theatre Production
Work with professional actors, directors and choreographers to create the main production, act in the show and learn about lighting, set, costume and sound design.
Final Performance
Perform alongside professionals in a full-scale performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre on the final evening of the program.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are
looking for an energetic, engaging person to work with us on a summer contract
over which 30 hours a week will be guaranteed for 8 weeks. The shift is early
morning till early afternoon at our busy bed and breakfast.
You must be
under 25, have been a full time University, college or secondary student last
semester and be returning to school full time in September 2013 . A
second language is always a benefit; emphasis on French or German. Food Safe
Certification must be completed prior to start date. Also required is a good
knowledge of the area and attractions, or the “Best of Revelstoke” course
certificate.
The
successful nonsmoking applicant will exude a positive
attitude and have an excellent attention to detail. You must be a morning
person, comfortable meeting and greeting guests, setting, serving and clearing
tables. You must be prepared to arrive on time, and have the stamina to
work steady and quickly the entire shift.
Full
chamber duties including changing beds, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming
and washing floors and windows plus similar tasks are all job
requirements. As well, some outdoor work such as hanging clothes or
taking clothes in from the line, raking, and mowing, weeding, watering plants
may be required.
