Student Exchange Opportunity





Every year, STS awards scholarships to all successful students who at least meet the following criteria:

  • Above average academic standard (C average minimum) 
  • Open, friendly, highly motivated and achievement oriented
  • Ability to be an outstanding ambassador for Canada and STS
  • Aged between 14 and 18 at the time of departure
  • Attending a Canadian High School

 Student Exchange is a non-profit student exchange organization founded in 1958. They distribute scholarships to promote international cultural awareness.

Here are some details: 

1- Special 2014 scholarship 
$2,000 scholarship on program fees for any country (semester or year only). 
Online application must be received before Feb 28, 2014.
Scholarship applicants should apply for 3 countries per order of preference to increase their chance. 

2- USA scholarship 
$2,400 scholarship on the program in the USA for a departure in Fall 2014 (semester or year only). 
This scholarship brings down the program fee to $1,500 for a semester or $2,500 for a full year. 
Online application must be received before Feb 28, 2014. 

3- European Explorer scholarship 
This scholarship amount varies from one country to the other but it lowers our program fee to $1,250 for 3 month (can be reduced to 2 month for academic purpose if needed) in the following countries: 
Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. 
Scholarship applicants should apply for 3 countries per order of preference to increase their chances. 
Online application must be received before Feb 28, 2014.

All scholars must host for at least 5 months or find a substitute host family in their school board and their Canadian school must agree to host without tuition an exchange student (5 or 10 months according to short or long-term exchange).
