Quality Assurance Trainee
HMC Services, a provincial leader in Road and Bridge Maintenance, is offering a summer student position for our Golden/ Revelstoke operation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented person who thrives in a fast paced environment and seeks a chance to learn about the opportunities that exist in this industry.
Interested candidates should have an interest in learning more about road construction, equipment operation, quality control, or supervision and management responsibilities.
In this role, the successful candidate will work with our senior management team, inspect and identify work, evaluate maintenance processes, measure quality and examine compliance with contractual and company standards. The successful candidate will also participate in site supervision/ inspections, project cost-control and costing analysis. You will be exposed to and take a supporting role in internal and local audits.
This position requires the individual to work both outdoors (in all weather conditions) and indoors (office setting). We are looking for someone who has a willingness and interest to learn, the strong analytical and organizational skills needed to complete reports an documentation, excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
Proven computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
