Volunteer opportunities exist for youth who are interested in helping people learn to "sit-ski". The Adaptive Ski Program in Revelstoke wants to give everyone the opportunity to ski, regardless of disabilities. There are a variety of opportunities that exist to become involved with this program. They are looking for:
- supporters (on hill) (hill pass provided)
- adaptive ski- instructors (on hill) - (hill pass provided. Certification is provided free of charge)
- marketing (off hill) - raising awareness within the school and/or the community
- fundraising - school and/or community
- promoting - media (posters, radio, article for paper, photos)
Whether you like skiing or snowboarding and want to help others enjoy the hill or trails, or if you simply want to help promote the program within the school or the community, there's a role available for everyone. Contact Ms. Vincent if you are interested.
